One of the reasons Children's National Medical Center was found noteworthy as specified by the ELSO Award Committee is:

ECMO specialists meet every month with one meeting scheduled for night shift and one meeting scheduled for day shift. Additionally, case reviews are offered monthly and are led by ECMO physicians. You have a well defined plan for recertification based on elapsed clinical time and you provided an impressive decannulation tool with your application.
