ELSO would like to recognize Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics for receiving the Award for Excellence in Life Support!

One of the reasons Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics was found noteworthy as specified by the ELSO Award Committee is:

You are awarded this honor based on the continued overall excellence of your program. You have ECMO trained physicians in-house 24/7 and your hospital maintains an ECMO credentialing program for physicians, and is reviewed every two years. There are quarterly multidisciplinary ECMO conferences for physicians, perfusionists, the ECMO coordinator and specialists. An annual 4 hour ECMO update, offered to specialists and physicians, focuses on recent information from national ECMO conferences, competencies, case reviews, and other educational aspects of the care of the ECMO patient.
