ELSO would like to recognize Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center for receiving the Award for Excellence in Life Support!

One of the reasons Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center was found noteworthy as specified by the ELSO Award Committee is:

You are awarded this honor based on several aspects of your excellent program. Your "ECMO News You Can Use" newsletter, published by the ECMO coordinator, is distributed via email to your team and includes educational topics and program updates. Your 50 question competency exam that covers basic ECMO knowledge, patient scenarios, and care of the CRRT patient, requires a minimum score of 95% to pass. With each ECMO run, QI is performed daily utilizing center specific "ECMO Run" and "Daily Coordinator Checklist" forms. Opportunities for practice modification or improvement are identified for the individual specialist and/or team as a whole.
