ELSO would like to recognize Children's Hospital Boston for receiving the Award for Excellence in Life Support!

One of the reasons Children's Hospital Boston was found noteworthy as specified by the ELSO Award Committee is:

You are awarded this honor based in part on your thorough education and mentoring program for new Specialists. You partner your new Specialists with a preceptor for 72 hours and conduct three clinical performance evaluations prior to allowing the Specialists to work independently. Your center has also developed a multidisciplinary ECMO Simulation course that emphasizes role responsibilities, communication, and crisis resource management across all critical care programs.
