ELSO would like to recognize Miami Children's Hospital for
receiving the Award for Excellence in Life Support!
One of the reasons Miami Children's Hospital was found
noteworthy as specified by the ELSO Award Committee is:
You are awarded this honor based on the many excellent features of your
ECMO program. You have a formal mentorship agreement between new staff and
experienced ECMO Specialists. This program seems unique, and we would like to
hear more about it. Your yearly competency exam is exemplary, with a test
covering policies and procedures, case scenarios, medication calculations, and
emergency drills.
Specifically, the below mentioned staff have been
instrumental in Miami Children's Hospital's outstanding achievements.
