One of the reasons Childens Hospital Los Angeles was found noteworthy as specified by the ELSO Award Committee is:

Your application gives a detailed description of a program that exemplifies the education, mentoring, and support needed for a large ECMO Program with over 70 RN Specialist. Your standard care conferences are praiseworthy, involving a multidisciplinary team that presents a well thought out plan of care to each of your patient’s families. In order to meet patient’s and family needs during very difficult cases, you may have a multidisciplinary care conference every day, showing dedication to family centered care and patient education.
